Elliott W. Wislar is the founder and CEO of Clearbrook. Elliott received his BA in Political Science from the University of Arizona and received his MBA in International Management from Thunderbird. Elliott has been involved with many charities and has served on many boards including being the president of the Board for the Newgrange School of Princeton. He was also the head of the Investment Committee and Board Member for the Sacred Heart School of Princeton.
Elliott has 28 years of financial services experience. Wislar held senior executive positions in marketing and distribution with The Boston Company which is a division of Mellon Bank, UBS, and FleetBoston. While at UBS he ran two of the PRIME Consulting Offices. For over a decade at FleetBoston, Elliott was in charge of growing the Institutional Asset Management businesses. Elliott was also the director of the sales, marketing, and business development areas focused on endowments, foundations, and retirement plan assets. He helped in the integration of the Columbia and Liberty Asset Management acquisitions, as well as a host of other bank acquisitions. Elliott collaborated with major corporate and governmental clients assisting them in developing balance sheet investment programs while working at The Boston Company. Tim joined the firm in 2010 and is Chief Investment Officer at Clearbrook, as well as Head of the Clearbrook Investment Committee. Within this role, Tim is involved in global macro and manager research, portfolio analysis and risk management. Prior to Clearbrook, Tim was President and Chief Investment Officer of Structured Investments Group, LLC. Tim began his career in 1982 and has served as an alternative investment and hedge fund advisor in numerous capacities. Previously, Tim was a Managing Partner with Access International Advisors and has held the title of Senior Vice President in varying roles at Prudential Securities, Smith Barney, and Oppenheimer & Company. During his career, Tim was one of the first advisors to place investor capital into hedge funds, portable alpha portfolios, structured/hedge fund linked notes, and insurance dedicated hedge fund products. Tim has had oversight of more than $5 billion of investor capital on behalf of corporations, pension funds, endowments and foundations, banks, investment advisory firms, and family offices. Tim is a Board member of Clearbrook Global Advisors and the Florida Alternative Investment Association. He has been a holder of securities licenses Series 3, 7, 24, 63 and 65. Tom joined Clearbrook as a Managing Director in 2014, and is responsible for overseeing the relationships and operational management for the firm’s institutional clients as well as business development for Clearbrook’s discretionary business. Prior to joining Clearbrook, Tom was the independent Trustee of the Board and Head of the Investment Committee at the Stamford Policemen’s Pension Fund. In this role he was responsible for management and investment selection for the $190MM fund, and during his tenure introduced and implemented a $50MM Alternative Investment platform including hedge funds, private equity and real estate portfolios. Prior to joining Stamford Policemen’s Pension Fund Mr. Deegan was a Founding Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer at GlobeOp Financial Services, a provider of outsourced middle- and back-office, and fund administration services for the hedge fund community from 2000 to 2004, where he managed client operations, derivative processing, and profit-loss accounting globally. He is the recipient of the 2011 Stamford Police Association’s Presidents Award for contributions related to work on the Stamford Policemen’s Pension Fund. Mark joined Clearbrook in 2010 and is a Managing Director and Head of Research at Clearbrook, responsible for manager research, capital markets research, due diligence, structured finance and corporate analysis. Prior to Clearbrook, Mark was co-founder and Principal of Structured Investments Group, LLC. Previously, Mark held several roles at Sands Brothers & Co., Ltd., serving as a Vice President in their asset management division, where he was a member of the firm’s Investment and Manager Selection Committees. Mark also served as Director of Research and Vice President of their Critical Capital Growth Fund, LP, where he completed several senior secured and mezzanine debt transactions. During his career, Mark has been involved in the sourcing, evaluation, structuring, financing, and monitoring of numerous transactions. Mark joined Clearbrook in 2005 as a Managing Director and is Head of Clearbrook’s Advisory Practice. He is a lead consultant on many of the firm’s corporate, endowment and foundation clients as well as professional services partnership firms. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and also participates in the firm’s alternative manager research. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars. Prior to joining the firm, Mark served as a Managing Director in the Boston office of CRA RogersCasey (formerly Wellesley Group Inc.) since 1995. Mark ran the office’s eleemosynary consulting practice and led the development of the alternative research capability for Wellesley Group prior to the CRA RogersCasey acquisition. Before CRA RogersCasey, Mark was appointed the Chief Investment Analyst for the Pension Investment Division of the Massachusetts State Treasury, which was responsible for the then $7.4 billion Massachusetts State Teachers’ and Employees’ Retirement System (MASTERS) Trust. Maurice Hryshko is Clearbrook’s General Counsel. Prior to joining Clearbrook, Maurice was a corporate transactional attorney in the New York law firm of Mazzeo Song & Bradham, LLP, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, structured financing, and general corporate governance. From 2005 until 2010, he was General Counsel at Imperium Partners Group, LLC, a New York based hedge fund specializing in structured investments in public and private companies. From 1999 to 2005, prior to joining Imperium Partners Group, Maurice was General Counsel of The Palladin Group, LP, a hedge fund with approximately $800 million under management. In these roles he structured, negotiated, and restructured numerous investments in both public and private companies. Prior to joining New Horizon Partners, he served as a managing director at one of the oldest M&A firms in Korea called Frontier M&A Co. At Frontier, he was responsible for sourcing deals, analyzing target companies, implementing strategies, and financing deals in Asian markets. Prior to joining Frontier, he worked for H-Plus Holdings, which is the affiliated company of GS Group, the 6th largest organization in Korea. At H-Plus, he was a general manager of new business development team. He was responsible for market research, evaluation, due diligence, and investment process. Prior to GS, he served as a senior investment consultant at Nemo Partners, the largest consulting firm in Korea. He was a team manager of mid-sized projects, and successfully managed a wide range of consulting projects for large Korean entities. Brian received his BBA and MBA from Yonsei University.
