Economic Data and Market Highlights

US large cap names were off slightly for the week on lighter volume as the S&P 500 fell 45 basis points. Small caps, however, advanced as the Russell 2000 rose 1.13%. International names fell 87 basis points.

P/E Ratios continue to remain elevated relative to history but retraced over the holidays. With that said, note that the forward P/E has continued to trend higher.

It has been over 100 days since the first Fed rate cut and since that time the ten-year Treasury yield has risen by 91 basis points. Since 1963, only one cutting cycle, 1981, has seen a larger increase.
